Terms & Conditions

1. Your Contract

Once you book an experience with Vulkana, a contract is formed between Vulkana Drift AS (the company) and the guest (the customer). This agreement becomes binding when the booking is confirmed. For those trips covered by the Act on Package Holidays, the relevant regulations will apply. Upon confirmation, Vulkana Drift AS commits to providing the booked experience, and you agree to pay for it as per these terms. You are responsible for ensuring all members of your party are aware of and accept these terms.

 

2. Payment

Once you ask us to confirm your booking, the total price of your booking becomes due. Payment terms vary based on the type of experience:

  • 2.1 Overnight Tours:

    • If booking more than 60 days before the trip, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required. The balance must be paid 60 days before departure.

    • For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full price is due at the time of booking.

  • 2.2 Spa Packages, Day Trips, etc.:

    • If booking more than 14 days before departure, a 10% non-refundable deposit is required. The balance is due on the day of departure and can be paid by invoice or on board.

    • For bookings within 14 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.

 

3. Prices

The price of your booking will be confirmed at the time of reservation. However, we reserve the right to adjust the price due to changes in public taxes. Should the price be adjusted, you may cancel within 7 days of receiving the adjusted invoice. Any special requests made by the customer during the trip that incur additional costs will only be charged if agreed upon by both parties.

 

4. Booking Changes

If you wish to change your booking after confirmation, please contact us in writing via email. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but they may not always be possible:

 

  • 4.1 Overnight Tours: All changes should be reported at least 14 days before departure.

  • 4.2 Packages Without Overnight Stay: Any reduction in the number of guests must be in accordance with our cancellation terms (see Section 5). Additional guests must be confirmed at least 48 hours before departure.

 

5. Cancellations

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to post@vulkana.no. The following fees apply based on the timing of the cancellation:

 

  • 5.1 Overnight Tours:

    • More than 60 days before departure: Fee based on deposit.

    • 60–42 days before: 30% of total price.

    • 41–28 days before: 60% of total price.

    • 27–14 days before: 90% of total price.

    • Less than 14 days before: 100% of total price.

  • 5.2 Shorter Trips/Packages Without Overnight Stay:

    • More than 14 days before departure: Fee based on deposit.

    • 14–7 days before: 50% of total price.

    • Less than 7 days before: 100% of total price.

 

6. If We Change or Cancel Your Booking

Vulkana Drift AS reserves the right to make changes to your booking details or correct any errors. If changes occur before confirmation, we will inform you beforehand. If a booking needs to be canceled after confirmation, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued for any cancellations made by us.

 

7. Complaints Procedure

If an issue arises during your trip, please report it immediately on board or to the relevant handler. If the issue cannot be resolved during your trip, you may file a complaint in writing within 28 days of your return. Complaints submitted after this timeframe will not be eligible for compensation.

 

8. Liability

Vulkana Drift AS will not be liable for any delays, disruptions, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), including weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. For land-based activities, Vulkana Drift AS does not provide liability insurance unless explicitly stated. All customers are responsible for securing their own travel insurance.

 

9. Indemnity

Guests are responsible for their behavior during the trip. Any damage caused to the vessel or property will be the responsibility of the guest, and Vulkana Drift AS reserves the right to recover costs resulting from such incidents.

 

10. Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously and handle all personal data in accordance with GDPR regulations. Information provided for your booking will only be shared with relevant parties (such as guides) and will not be disclosed to third parties. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time.
