1. What is MS Vulkana?
MS Vulkana is a repurposed deep-sea fishing vessel transformed into an authentic Nordic spa experience, combining adventure, relaxation, and true Scandinavian charm. Located in Tromsø, MS Vulkana is a floating sanctuary designed to rejuvenate both body and mind in the heart of the Arctic.

2. What spa facilities are available on board?
The spa facilities include:

A Turkish hammam for a steam experience
A Finnish wood-fired sauna
An outdoor wood-fired hot tub with breathtaking fjord views
Note: Spa sessions must be pre-booked, though limited drop-in hours may be available. Our spa can accommodate approximately 15 guests per hour.

3. What should I bring?
Please bring swimwear, a towel, and a bathrobe. If needed, you can rent these on board:

Bathrobe: NOK 100
Towel: NOK 60
Slippers are provided free of charge, and all guests are required to shower before using the spa facilities.

4. Are there showers and restrooms available?
Yes, MS Vulkana is equipped with two toilets and two showers for guest convenience.

5. Can children come onboard?
Yes, children are welcome on board until 18:00, after which we limit access to adults due to alcohol service. Young people over 16 are welcome to book but cannot be served alcohol. We also offer reduced rates for children.

6. Is there a bar and food service on board?
Yes, MS Vulkana has a fully licensed bar offering a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on board. We also provide small snacks for purchase.

7. Do you have WiFi?
Yes, complimentary WiFi is available on board.

8. Can we pay by card or cash?
Yes, both card and cash payments are accepted. However, card payments are preferred as cash availability may be limited.

9. Do I need to pre-book?
Yes, all spa sessions require pre-booking. Drop-in hours may be available on a limited basis, so please contact us if you’re interested. For dining and boat trips, pre-booking is required, as these are available upon request only.

10. Can I enjoy a meal on board?
Absolutely! MS Vulkana offers an authentic Northern Norwegian dining experience, with options for a 3-course meal or a tapas platter, all freshly prepared by our onboard chef. 12. How many guests can MS Vulkana accommodate?

Spa: Approximately 15 guests per hour (when docked)
Dinner: Up to 14 guests (12 if dinner cruise)
Cruise: Maximum of 12 guests
Private Events: Up to 40 guests when docked.

13. Are there any age restrictions for booking?
Yes, guests must be 18 years or older to make a reservation. Children are allowed on board until 18:00, and young people over 16 are welcome to book but are not permitted to consume alcohol. Identification may be requested.

14. What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms vary depending on the type of booking:

Overnight Tours: Deposits are non-refundable, with incremental charges closer to the departure date.
Day Trips and Spa Packages: Cancellations are fully refundable up to 14 days before the scheduled booking date.
